Good chisel gun for the money!
Quick delivery overnight helped me to continue working on my ancient trailer that I am rebuilding. Purchased the trailer from Home Depot back in the early 90’s and worked well for our needs. Cost ratio is good and the zip gun as we call it around here worked incredibly well. My old one would not provide enough force to break over a dozen carriage bolts that were rusted. This did! The chisels with this are good and not too light. I purchased a different set to use with this gun and the metal chisels were all too soft so went back and used the chisels that came along with the gun and worked well. As another reviewer pointed out, make sure you add pneumatic gun which would help the gun work properly. I had some oil but couldn’t find it and I think it would have worked much better if I oiled it first.

Best Bang for the Buck - (pun intended)
In the Product Information Manual under Warning (Pages 2 and 3) stipulate: 1. Put 6 cubic cm (6 ml) of solvent in the air inlet and operate the tool for 15 seconds. I used break cleaner. 2. Then put 3 cubic cm (3 ml) of Ingersol-Rand #10 oil into the air inlet and operate for 5 seconds. Note: a. You must hold the trigger all the way down while you put in the solvent and oil or the inlet will not accept the 6 cubic cm’s of solvent or the 3 cubic cm’s of oil. b. You can use a rag or folded paper towel held tightly over the discharge opening of the gun or it will not operate and the solvent or oil will not work its way through the gun. I wore an apron because the spray/mist will blast out. 3. Quick Change Retainer: a. First install the quick-change retainer onto the gun and torque for 4 lb. ft. I used a 3/4-inch internal pipe wrench/grip extractor with the appropriate attachments so the 1/4-inch torque wrench could be used. b. Then tighten the 3 Allen set screws to 9 lb. in’s. Go around in the retainer keeping track that the amount of exposed threads for each set screw is the same until the torque for each set screw reaches 9 lb. in's. I used a digital torque wrench (1/4’ drive) and a 3 mm hex bit socket. 4. Done – ready for use. The gun works great for my application – automotive. I use the SUNEX TOOL Air Hammer Chisel and Separator Set

Gun works well but hard on the wrist
This hammer gun is well made and takes some hard use. I bought it mainly because of manufacturer and it came with quick change bit holder. I used it for several hours tearing up 700 sq ft of ceramic floor tile and removing remaining thinset material. Granted the gun isn't designed for this use but it worked. Ran it with recommended 80 psi air pressure with 80 gal I R compressor. Out of the box I was surprised how heavy the gun was. Likes: Well made and heavy duty. Quick change bit holder. Nice size but long. Dislikes: Weight and balance very fatiguing on wrist. Has deep stroke making it difficult to handle. Have to apply lot of pressure to keep strokes short and rappid. Quick change chuck became dirty from dust and thus made bit removal difficult at best...even with oiling bit which made a mess. Air exhaust is around barrel and points toward work. Had to rubberband a sock around it to keep from spitting oil and blowing dust every where. Air pressure regulator knob at handle inlet would not stay in position...works back to full pressure. Shape of handle causes pressure against top of thumb web area and caused blister. Had to wear extra heavy glove plus taping padding to my right hand. I use high-flow aluminum air chucks and fittings. The vibration from this gun will destroy those fittings. I used 18" hose whip and had no problems after that. All this said, I can recommend this tool for normal short time uses. On my knees hammering on a floor for hours was not good for myself or the tools. I broke three 3" thinset removal bits. Welded the shanks and would break again in a different place. Used different manufacturers bits but still broke. Don't think it was fault of gun...just manner of non-stop use.

5.8 CFM at 90psi Air Compressor
This air hammer worked great. I used it to remove bushings from some leaf springs on a 39 Plymouth and it did the job easily. I cut thru the bushings from end to end then folded up the edges. Then put it against an edge and drove it straight out. The bushings didn’t have a chance. Before I used the tool I read the instructions and they said that the tool was coated with an anti- rust compound both inside and out. Use a suitable cleaner to remove then oil before using. Then plug in and operate for 5 seconds. Then pour oil in it and operate for 15 seconds. I have no idea what a suitable cleaner would be. I thought about mineral spirits but decided to use carburetor cleaner in a spray can. Stuck the red straw down the air supply hole and filled it up. Squeezed the trigger, filled with oil and ran it again. I used Kobalt air tool oil from Lowes. I was somewhat concerned because reading questions and answers concerning air compressor CFM it seemed this tool needed 90psi with 20 CFM under load, 4 CFM with no load. My compressor is 1.9 hp, 27 gal that puts out 5.8 CFM at 90psi. I’ve included a pic of it. I had no problems, the tool worked just fine. I use a drier system on my airline so I have 2 regulaters. One at the compressor I set for 110 psi. Coming from the drier I set at 80psi while squeezing the trigger of the tool. When I put it to the bushings, it went thru them like melted butter. This tool really saved me a lot of time and headache. I’m glad I decided to try even with my concerns.

Been using this kinds of pneumatic tool since 2012...never broken...well there some minor issues but you can fix it...then i bought a snap-on PH3050B last 2019 and it broke and they wouldn't replace it coz i bought that for the lifetime warranty, apparently they dont do that on pneumatics...and since my old ingersoll is really old i thought i buy me a new one...or two...coz it will get lonely you know...and they still have the same quality as before.

Perfect for the job. Nice quality build & easy on the hand. Unfortunately, one didn't stand up too well & corroded after just 3 days of use. Photo #2 shows the worst one, after just 3 days use underground:(

Amazing Air hammer, comparable to my matco air hammer in terms of strength. Not quite as good as a snap on long barrel but 1/8th the price. Also some higher quality bits that should fit are a bit too tight in the bore. Overall very happy regardless.
