Hot Sticks Metallic Set

I’ve been using these as rubbing sticks to add texture to my art work. Compared to oil pastels, I get far mote definition and the concentrated color is great. They remind me of the sticks I used as a child for brass rubbings in the UK. I’ve given 4 stars because I have not yet used them as conventional encaustic paints but for my purpose they are worthy of 5.

My metallic encaustic sticks were so reasonably priced compared to other sellers. They perform beautifully providing gorgeous, rich metallic color with 5 sticks to choose from. I would order again if I need more metallic sticks for encaustic.

Great little metallic sticks.

These are a good value over purchasing them individually from an art store, or even a discount art store. Highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. These are also the same size as the standard "sticks" you can get individually.

Worked great

These are great metallics for wax work. It is truly metallic without looking glittery. I'm having fun with them. The photo washes out the silver and gold but in real life it shows beautifully.

ok - can't really tell they are metallic when used

These have to be melted so I did on the stove but by the time I carried it to the dresser in the other room it had hardened. And it hardened when I had it warm on the brush as I applied on the dresser. Wouldn't buy again!!
