I’m absolutely baffled.
I genuinely don’t understand what happened here. I’ve been looking into how to package succulents for shipping, as I want to begin selling some of my own, and this shipment really just defies all logic. One of the cardinal rules of shipping succulents is that you’re ideally supposed to starve them of water for a bit before you ship them out. Not only had my baby toes been watered before shipping, they were wet to the touch when I received them! The soil was soaked, and every single individual plant rotted and died within hours of my unpacking them. These are DESERT PLANTS. Overwatering is the literal worst thing you could do to them, barring just stepping all over them. These things are literally genetically designed to be able to withstand drought. I just don’t understand why anyone would package them wet.
