I've had this case for a couple of months now on my Iphone 6 plus. I almost didn't keep it because I was so disappointed when I saw the color. On my monitor the red color looked like a darker blood red but in person the red is more orange-y.But I've had both Otterbox and Gumdrop cases before and I have a 4 year old and a 6 year old and often drop my phone so I decided to stick with this case. I was very tempted by the much slimmer rubber options from other vendors, paired with a glass screen protector which my brother has on his 6 plus and loves. (I just saw him and he had cracked his first glass screen protector was waiting for a replacement).My brother had allowed me to try his 6 plus and the glass screen protector is quite seamless - it's like nothing between you and your phone. I agree with other reviewers of this Gumdrop case that there is a slight air gap between the face of the phone and the plastic screen protector portion. However it seems to have slightly improved with use and I don't find that I notice it when I'm using my phone - and I am a heavy Iphone user with tons of apps and I often read on my phone. I decided I liked the Gumdrop design with the circle over the home button instead of the open portion on the glass protectors because the Gumdrop way offers more protection - and things are likely to get spilled on my phone.However this leads me to the most serious issue I have with the Gumdrop design and that is that I can not get the fingerprint scanner to work well. Sometimes it works perfectly and my phone will unlock when I am not even expecting it to. However most of the time the fingerprint scanner is so slow or non-functioning that I have gone back to entering a four digit number to unlock my phone. My guess is that this is tied to the circle over the home button and that I wouldn't have this problem with the open-to-the-bottom design screen protectors. However this is just a guess and perhaps it's just I have dry skin or something. I do note that no other review has mentioned this issue which leads me to think it may just be something about my finger.The buttons do feel stiff (which I actually like) and I often end up adjusting the volume when I'm trying to put the phone to sleep. And this case is of course bulky. But the color has grown on me and the case has already protected my phone from various drops and spills.After living with the case I am happy with my purchase and if I had another Iphone 6 plus that needed a case I would choose the Gumdrop again.

I used to have a Gumdrop case for my iPhone 4s. I guess I forgot about it whenever I switched to Android, because that would explain why I originally got an Otterbox for my new iPhone 6+.Though Otterbox (Commuter Series) claims to be one of the best protective cases on the market, I wound up returning it the next day. It didn't have built-in screen protection, which made me nervous to bring it into the kitchen and follow recipes as I cooked and baked. Otterbox claimed to have drop protection, but the case didn't seem too sturdy. And that was certainly an issue; since the case was made out of slippery plastic, I was dropping it constantly! On top of all of that -- and maybe it's a minor point -- but it looked so boring and generic.Luckily, I found my old case in a desk drawer and immediately rushed to Amazon to order one for my new phone. It arrived today. While it was a pain to get the thing on, I'm glad that it fits so snugly. It does add a bit of bulk to the phone, but the trade-off is a good, solid grip, and I don't think that I'll drop it. But even if I do, I know that my phone will be safe.I only have one complaint. My old case is light blue and hot pink, which, believe me, looks better than it sounds. The new cases don't seem to be available in the fun color combinations of the past models. The lilac/purple combination isn't terrible; I just sort of miss light blue.TL;DR This case is definitely worth the money, especially if you're accident-prone like I am.

I bought this case as my wife loves purple. Otter box does not have a similar color combination. We both have had Otter box cases in the past in our apple I phones and I pods. This case feels top notch and does not envy anything from the OB brand. The outer case is very sturdy and offers plenty of impact protection to the I phone. The inner case has a light shine but does not distract when in use. My wife has dropped the phone a few times and it is intact.On the downsize and for awareness for the ones that search for the sleek look. Well, the case will add 4/10 of an inch to the profile of the phone which is already pretty big. Aesthetically, the back of the case kind of looks like the thread of a tire. Not the best look for a girl. The design of the back could have offered more of a girl look. Even for a guy, the design is not something I would consider in a high tech electronics device. However, considering that the only reason we got the case was to protect our 1K investment, we both don't mind the tire design on the back and has already proved impact worthy and do not regret the acquisition. Highly recommended for those members of the clumsy club.

I had gumdrop cases on my previous iPhones, and they all performed admirably. This case is no exception. Unlike other cases of it's type, the attached screen protector is of high quality and does not affect the use of the screen at all. It's a fingerprint magnet, but most screen protectors are. I have dropped my phone a couple of times from waist and chest height, no damage whatsoever to the phone, minimal scratching to the case.The flaps and port covers are all perfect, and they accommodate many third party charging cables. The only problem I experienced was for the first few days getting the charging port flap open was quite difficult because of the stiffness of the TPU. This subsided with time, and is actually the case I have used consistently the longest since I've had my phone (I go through phone cases like candy, I just like having something different on my phone).Overall, a great product. Highly recommend for somebody who is worried about the odd fall. It's not waterproof, obviously, but the waterproof cases I've tried don't offer fall protection and are just more difficult to use than it is worth.I do wish they had more color options, I would like a white frame option that came with a gray or black cover.

Having had gumdrop previously I thought having another for the 6 plus would be ideal however the built in screen protector was missing and it makes the phone unbelievably heavy and chunky
