Arrived in box with large chunks of the enamel outer shell broken off. Went straight into the trash bin.

Not impressed. The handle seemed a little unsturdy and it’s just gotten worse with time. Two months later and the handle broke off with very minimal use. Very disappointed in the quality of this product

I normally don't think too much about rarely used things like tea kettles, but this pot's design instantly caught my eye. I've used the same glass tea kettle for years now, but thought it'd be safer to have a non-glass pot that had the added bonus of being so attractive looking.I heated up some water and as soon as it whistled, I walked over and grabbed the handle of the tea kettle with the intent of pouring some water into a mug. This was my first and last mistake. The handle is IN NO WAY AT ALL insulated; instead, it's boiling hot and is a major danger to burning your hand! When I re-grabbed the handle with an oven mitt, I was able to pick it up. But I then failed at pouring immediately, because there is a little flip-top cover on the pouring spout. Why does this need to exist? I didn't really want to touch it after burning my hand on the pouring handle.This is a nice looking pot, and it does boil water, and the whistle works, but in no way could I ever recommend a tea kettle that burns your hand. Who wants to need an oven mitt for a tea kettle when there are zillions on the market that don't require this safety measure?

Very attractive tea kettle that looks great on your stovetop. There are a couple of flaws, the chrome steel handle gets very hot, so I used some insulation and a cloth tape wrap to wrap it securely, and the problem is solved. Second, the cap while it describes itself as wide and easy to fill, while that much is true, the cap can be a little frustrating to put back on, you must get it aligned just right. That may improve with practice, but I fumbled around with it the first few times I did it. I notice they present this as a feature not a bug, which is good salesmanship, but a proper design should not spill and still have an easy to put back on lid.I would probably have prefered this in black, if you have an electric stove this would be fine, but over time my gas stove will start to leave discoloration in the white base near the bottom. It's cleanable, but not very easy to do. What I may do is use it out on the back covered porch where I have an induction cooker. It won't get discolored with induction heat, and I'll have something that heats up for tea quickly outside. This is a nicely efficient heat receptacle, it heats water up very quickly with even a medium flame on my gas stove, and whistles when the steam is running to indicate the water has come to a boil. It does come in other colors, if you have a gas stove get black, if not choose your favorite or whatever works with your kitchen decor. Recommended, in the right color and application for you.

We drink a lot of tea in our household. We have a hot water heater and numerous different tea steeping devices, but we did not have a tea kettle before receiving this one. We were super excited to try it out and did so the moment it arrived. The tea kettle is gorgeous looking. We received the white one (not sure why the link is only showing red now). It has little rhinestones around the pour spout and the knob on the lid. The porcelain-enamel coating makes it shine and look expensive.The kettle holds a decent amount of water and it heats rather quickly when placed on the stove on high. We actually did not read the instructions that you were supposed to use it on medium because..umm...it's a tea kettle and you are boiling water. We are sticking with high heat which it sounds like is the right thing to do. The kettle whistles rather loudly. We can hear it throughout our ranch style house. The handle on ours does not get hot. It has some sort of black base around the bottom that keeps the heat from traveling through the handle. It is easy to pick up and pour without any risk of burning your hand.The only negative that we have with the kettle we received is that the handle was slightly loose upon arrival. There is no way to tighten it. It still functions, but we wish that it was solidly attached. Function wise, we have no issues with this tea kettle. Look wise, it is perfect. We would recommend it based on our experience.

I liked the look of this, and the functionality is fine, but I did have a couple of issues.- Love the look of the handle, but I don't love having to grab a pot holder to use it- I don't get the rubber-like insert of the spout lid (not that it matters, just curious)- Lid is difficult to get on and off, under that handle shapeI'm going to say this, though I know plenty will laugh at me... it seemed to take a whole lot longer to boil. It might be because I'm used to electric kettles.
