I do not write many reviews but I was initiallyuncertain about buying these disks and backing plate to refinish my granite countertop based on what people said about the backing plate not securing the disks after a few uses. I took a chance and had no problems and changed to different disks many time during the hours of operation to fully restore my granite. I do not know how people are using the disks to cause them to not be secured to the backing plate but I used a Dewalt variable speed grinder/polisher to complete the job. I highly recommend this product if you want to refinish granite surfaces. When people say that the disks flew off they do not say how they were using them. I used the recommended speed called for in granite refinishing videos and had no problem and the disks last forever. I still have the original disks and backing plate they look great.

Coarse grit pad worn quick, i do not need to buy the whole set of pads. Good stuff and worth the money.

The grinding pads work wonderfully. Velcro was not glued onto the buffing pad very well. It flew off the first time using it. I was able to use some glue, and glued it back on.

The best sander ever

I am still using the 50 grit diamond pad and its still good. However, the backer pad fell apart. The rubber between the hook and loop began to crack apart and fly off in pieces until the hook and loop piece came completely off. I ordered two sets so I went to the second backer and the same thing began to happen. So in summary, diamond pads are performing well, but the backer is terrible.

It doesnt work well... it got destriyed within a minute

***DO NOT*** use these in an angle grinder without variable speed control. People don’t seem to understand that a polisher isn’t spinning at 6,000-9,000 rpm. Understand your tools please.The hook and loop isn’t the most durable how it’s glued on. The billet mounting plate is true and robust in quality. The pads are good but you have to slightly bend them to remove and it’s often I have to swap pads. They slightly crack between the squares. In a perfect world, I would have a mounting plate for each pad. Great buy. I used these on petrified wood crosscuts 4” in diameter

Great value for a complete polishing set. Went through 4 orders for a pool and step project
