Do these connect to the h5040 wireless gateway? the gateway is not finding them.

Yes. You can connect this product to the WiFi water leak detector gateway. You can even connect them to the WiFi temperature humidity monitors gateway. They use the same H5040 gateway and can be connected at the same time with no problems.

How long the batteries last ?

The battery life is about half a year. If the sensor is beeping for a long time without stop, it may consume a lot of battery.

How does one test the batteries? When I press the button, the red light flashes. Should it flash or stay steady?

When I test my unit(s)... the red light comes on for a second and an alarm sounds for a short period...

Is there a way to unscrew the tiny screws to replace batteries? My smallest screwdriver would not work.

Please use PH0 or PH00 screwdriver to unscrew the battery.
