Color is nice. Detail is nice. Comfort in socks is decent. SEVERE Main drawbacks are super slick silicone like coating on the top and bottom of the mat. I pre-read the reviews and was aware of some slippery coating. Before putting it down I used Dawn Dish Detergent and a fine scrubbing sponge to release/remove the coating. I made the mistake of NOT placing a tarp underneath it when I scrubbed the mat's underneath portion first laying the mat on its top surface. This omission left some super slick residue on my tile floor. It's dangerously slick when you are wearing socks. It takes several attempts to remove the super slick residue from the tile. Once the coating on the bottom is removed it stays put just fine but it's still overly slick on the top surface. I would not buy again.

This is great for in the kitchen, or at a work bench and is of good quality. The sloped edges mean you don't trip on it. Also, if you have to trim it to fit around obstacles, it is very easy to do.

Good padding but NOT non-slip. I bought these mats because my hard tile floors are hard on my feet and back, and the mats have served well to ease the fatigue of being on my feet for long periods in the kitchen. To that end, they've done their job. My chief complaint is they slide around badly on the tile surface and require constant adjustment. I'm going to try to find some no-slip tape, and hopefully that will help. The also show every little spot, drip, and foot print. We'll see if they work out. Not overly happy with this product but too much of a hassle to send back.

I needed the perfect size for in front of the kitchen sink - that's why I bought this one. However, there's a coating on this matt. After you're standing or walking on it and you walk on a hardwood floor, you slip and slide. While it was great fun for my 13 year old, my 86 year old didn't share the joy. I wiped it down with hot water with a drop of dish detergent and all is good.

30NOV2018: This is going to sound crazy but I have got to say it. Ever since I brought this mat into my house my kitchen floor is slippery! To clarify, the mat itself isn’t slippery so it’s ok if you’re on the mat, but if you step into the tile floor it’s super slippery. My boyfriend and I think that there’s something that was on the mat that made the tile floor really slippery. I just washed the mat and swiffered the floor so we’ll see what happens. Not really sure of the correlation, but just sayin.

non skid was one of the major reasons I purchased these mats. I spent time researching this item not realizing that it states " tested and proven to be slip resistant on MOST floors". it slips all over my tile floors in my kitchen. I bought 4 of these in all different sizes, so I spent quite a bit, and in addition to that the smaller size is darker than the larger ones. so if you have them close to each other you can tell. not sure I am keeping these but will probably be more of a hassle to try to return.

Previously bought a smaller mat and loved it. This time I ordered larger one and found it had some kind of oiley film that rubbed ff on tile floor, socks and feet. I wiped mat down with dawn and water as well as floor. The floor is still slick, any recommendations?

I have another mat at my kitchen sink. It was more expensive and is a gel mat. THIS mat that I recently purchased is in my laundry area where it’s not used as much as my kitchen mat. For the laundry area, this mat works for me because I don’t spend as much time on it. I would recommend this mat for an area not used frequently.
