Keeps the coffee water clean of impurities
I have purchased these many time to use with my Keurig coffee machines. They keep the water clean going into the machine. I change every two months.

Every bit as good as the name brand at a fraction of the price.
Replaced OEM filter in our Keurig machine with a Filters Direct charcoal filter. The Filters Direct filter not only fit our Keurig's water filter holder perfectly, and to my perception, filters water every bit as effectively as the Keurig OEM charcoal filter, but costs just under one-fifth of the price of the Keurig OEM filters. Qualitatively, the Filters Direct filters seem to have the same composition and build quality of the OEM filters, so when all is said and done, paying under one-fifth of the retail cost of the name-brand filters seems to be the way to go.
