Really good value
Works pretty well and has been great so far. Generally very easy to assemble. Tricky part is at the very end when you have to attach the hinges to the top, and then the top to the rest. Be very careful when attaching the springs. They are very strong and it's very easy to hurt yourself. I was luckily fine. It's very helpful if you have a second person when putting the top on because it's very difficult to align the screws with holes otherwise. You can try using the styrofoam packaging that comes with it as spacers. The screws aren't too hard to reach, but still unpleasant. All that aside it's very sturdy. When opening or closing it can wobble a bit side to side, and at the very end of opening or closing, the hinges will snap into place. So be wary of spilling stuff on the table. Overall love the design! The compartments can fit the cloth box drawers you can get from the dollar store. I haven't used the covered storage area yet, but I'm glad it's available. You will need your own tools to assemble. Mainly philips. In terms of parts like screws, there was one extra of each.

Looks great,very sturdy, resists scratches
Great product at a great price. Took a few hours to put together, took my time and many breaks at 53yrs old and a disabled combat veteran, wasn't to hard. Directions were simple and easy to understand. The dark wood (Coffee) looks great and is a solid particle board with a natural feel/looking wood laminate cover. Perfect size and addition for limited space living rooms which was one of my main concerns. Ample storage compartment for all your PC or console game gear or perhaps dining room silverware and fancy things you hide away till needed like table cloths or holiday decorations, unused pictures you bring out for company. Underneath storage is great for wireless speakers for the home entertainment enthusiast. Might want to purchase 3" risers if you want clearance for the robo-vacs, probably only need 1" extra for most brand vacs. I bought 3" so the cat could hide underneath as well. Lift from both sides to raise the storage/desktop or it comes up unevenly. I have a 27" monitor and a bunch of miscellaneous items and there is plenty of support. I'm pretty particular about furniture and I am totally happy with this purchase. I would suggest small circular stick on patches as you can see 4 holes where the bottom shelf is locked in. Very recommended if your going for a modern look. 3 year 3 month update. This thing is built like a tank. Over the years I've been using it as a temp work station for projects, with saws and drills and metal hardware, tossing remotes and loose change on it, cat jumping on it with sharp claws, I added a couple cat combs on the corners and she uses them constantly every day. Not one gouge or scratch to be found! Very durable formica cover. A quick wipe down with a wet cloth or furniture polish and it looks just as new as the day I put it together! The corners are not child protected, so bare that in mind. Its as though this was made stronger than steel. I highly recommend this table and probably going to buy another.

Great product, minor assembly issues.
Works exactly as described and is the perfect height next to the couch. The elevated section is sturdy and useful. Looks pretty good and easy to clean. Assembly took about 2 hours — the only issue were the small nails, as the holes were too tight. I had to drill them slightly larger, which helped. No parts were missing. Overall, a solid and functional piece!

Great table!!
I have a 2nd smaller living room that I have a small love seat as the "couch" so everything is smaller in size. I had searched around for a lift top coffee table for a while and found that the really expensive versions online and at local furniture stores had tops that lifted far too high and would not be a comfortable sitting situation for eating or using my laptop while seated, at least for my love seats sitting height. Because I am OCD I always research things to the point I'm exhausted and many times decide after days/weeks of research that I probably don't need a particular item. I knew I wanted something for this room so I continued my research. I found this exact same table at another online vendor, they even used the same pictures as this vendor on Amazon, at double the price. I had almost ordered it from that vendor before I decided to try and see what Amazon had to offer. Initially I was hesitant because I thought perhaps the other vendor had a different manufacturer and possibly a better quality...but again, same pictures used on both sites. Granted, they did "technically" show a different manufacturers name but at this point I am thinking they are using the "middle mans" name instead of the actual manufacturers name. For those reviewers that complain the table is hard to put together and the directions are confusing....again, I am OCD.....but I laid all the parts out and marked them with sticky notes to make absolutely sure I didn't mess anything up. For the first part where the two smaller sides attach I did initially put them on the wrong direction.....but on the next step I realized that quickly after looking at the picture. So, solution for me was to go to the next step each time to look at the picture of what was coming up next to make sure I did the prior connections correctly. Upon taking that extra step it all went very smoothly. For those that say the holes did not line up, that is true if you don't follow the directions correctly and perhaps a part is on in the wrong direction. Like another reviewer I was able to complete the assembly of the whole table with no help whatsoever and in under 1.5 hours (I'm 57 year old woman). When it came to installing the top part with the springs I used couch cushions to hold the top in place while I installed the screws. The only minor challenge I encountered was installing one of the screws to hold the spring in place. The first spring I was able to lower it and it stayed while I installed said screw. With that confidence in mind I lowered the second spring but when I lightly touched it to install the screw in place that spring slammed back up by itself and cut my finger......lesson learned....be careful and trust nothing....kinda like people....LOL Now that the table is put together the springs work perfectly due to the weight of the table top. One reviewer said to use a drill to install....for me I felt that was not a wise choice. With press board materials one can over tighten any of those locking nuts and cause it to "wallow" out, for a lack of verbiage. It takes just a few seconds longer to do it manually but you can feel when it is tight and then you know it's time to stop turning. With a drill you may over tighten and then you can't fix that mistake. For those reviewers that talk about how cheap the material is and how it easily breaks.....and some even put pictures showing the ripped out portions of the materials. The material is fine/good......but when you're installing this type of product that is not "real" wood....but actually a press board, which is perfectly fine if you treat it right.....you have to get it right, turn the screw to lock it in place......but if you then twist the material after that locking head is in place.....then you're going to rip the material....so it's not really the materials fault as much as the installation process used. I'm sure the nay sayers of this table can find fault in anything they purchase.....especially if they are not doing something within the products capabilities. For me, this table was a lot of bang for the buck and I love it. If someone is seeking perfection, solid wood, top of the line then perhaps you need to go pay 10 times the price for another table. However, if you are capable of taking the time to put this table together correctly after thinking it through carefully...then you will end up with a nice piece of furniture that will work great for many years to come.

Lovely table- but be careful assembling!
This is a very nice looking coffee table, it looks expensive and fits in well with the other pieces in my living area. I love the lift top feature and the raised height is perfect for eating or using a laptop. I don't have a dining table so this is great to have somewhere to watch TV and eat, but be able to put it back to it's normal height after. I do think it is a little difficult to lower the lid again, it feels like there is a little more tension than I'd have expected and I actually had to go buy gripping pads for the bottoms of the legs because the table would slide over the floor while I was trying to lower the top and I would otherwise need to use a hand to hold the table still. I do want to warn people- when you are assembling this and on the last parts where you put the hinge / spring part onto the underside of the table top, be VERY careful handling them and don't extend or retract the Z shaped pieces while you are holding them if at all possible, my mother was helping me assemble this and managed to pinch the palm of her hand with this, badly enough that she was worried she needed stitches, a lot of blood and a very painful looking wound. It seems to be alright but it definitely makes me a little cautious about suggesting anyone assemble this alone, even if you think you are capable, it would likely be safer to have someone to help. Overall I do really like the table and it's an excellent choice for the price, just be careful with assembly! Also, in some of the pictures I'm seeing that some people have left the black corners on the table top. It doesn't mention them in the instructions, but those are just protectors and they slide off, they aren't meant to be part of the finished table.

Super amazing and great accessory to my livingroom!
I took a gamble and bought this, even though it had some great reviews! I live in an apartment, and I can ALWAYS use more storage space, so this really stuck out to me. What really appealed to me is that not only does it have all the storage inside the main compartment, but it also has three spaces underneath that I can fit baskets into for even more storage! As a quick overview, it feels pretty sturdy, though when I have the top lifted up for computer work I don't put much weight on it. It has a nice finish, and looks the same color as the pictures, but can chip easily. The stickers that number it stuck on really well, to the point that I had to soak them in warm water to remove gunk, and there's some remnant left. Building it was pretty easy, but let me tell you -- when it says 2+ people, you really should use 2+ people. I built this by myself and had to jerryrig it on, and for a long moment felt as if God had abandoned me and I was doomed to have a half-finished coffee table. One of the final touches is screwing the big metal thingies into the table, after you've connected the top part, and that stuff is HEAVY and also want to tip over. Get someone to help you hold the top while you screw it in. I had a chair and a box and a lot of prayers. Don't be dumb like me.

Great purpose, functions well
This coffee table has been a great addition to my living room. I found it pretty easy to assemble, with the exception that you most definitely two people to put the top portion on. That was a bit difficult as I live alone. It is easy to raise and lower the "desk" portion, and I do feel it is sturdy when in the "desk" position. Overall, the table is incredibly sturdy and has held up well. The finish looks really nice in person as well and blends in well with other pieces of furniture I have purchased in similar tones. It is a great storage piece as the shelves on the bottom provide a lot of room for books, baskets, and other things. The portion below the desk surface allows quite a bit of storage too that is easily accessed.

Smaller than listed but decent table
Sturdy table, nice color, and easy to move. Do not put it together alone unless you have something to prop up the top when you go to put it on. It’s much easier to put together with 2 people. The directions are only pictures, no words, so there can be a little confusion but I found them easy to follow for the most part. The table is a lot smaller than I originally imagined so I measured it once it was all together and it did not match the stated dimensions in the listing. My measured dimensions are 39 5/16” length X 17 9/16” width X 18 13/16” height closed and 24” height opened. I’m not gonna take it apart and send it back but I do wish the table was the dimensions I thought I was purchasing.
