Unlike some of the other recent reviews, mine is holding firm and consistently.
UPDATE: Suction efficacy for the Yonisun/Semsons suction mount also failed at the 2-year mark under the Vegas heat. I did not see either Yonisun or BestDealUSA listed here as brands anymore. And Semson is still a seller but does not fulfill by Amazon so there's the added shipping costs … and Semson might just ship one of the odd brands now listed here anyway for less.So in the end I decided to pay twice-the-price and buy the OEM Garmin Large (7.0cm cup-diameter) Suction Cup Mount with Amazon as the seller. Larger than the 'standard' OEM Garmin 5.4cm cup-diameter suction cup such as on this page, the larger one designed to provide 'extra-holding-power' for the larger GPS models. On first installation, 'the large' certainly feels much more solid/sturdy and possesses much greater suction power than the 'regular' ones I have ordered off this page. Came in an OEM Garmin retail box. The swivel ball fits tight & right. The specification for the actual swivel ball, btw, for almost all Garmin GPS mounts, new and old alike, is 17.2mm diameter.I've got a good feeling about this one.ORIGINAL REVIEW: My new suction mount purchased here is working 100% after several weeks. (The stated brand was Yonisun and the seller was Semsons.) And it is still plenty hot in Vegas right now.It replaced a suction mount I bought here on Amazon on 2016-07-18 from this very URL. (That mount was branded as BestDealUSA and the seller was Semsons.) It failed during Summer, 2018 under the scalding Vegas heat. Two years of life for a $5 Garmin suction mount under two summers of scalding Vegas heat, I won't complain. Until it failed, it held solid suction 100% of time. So I got my money's worth.Over the years I've learned these suction mounts ARE very susceptible to heat; I guess just the least bit of warping from heat causes them to be unable to hold good suction. And I've found some are built better than others, in that some hold better & last longer, other not so much. Now none of the third-party suction mounts I've ordered over the years have ever come with any packaging or maker's marks or anything else that would prove a specific brand or manufacturer. So who really knows what brand or maker of suction mount is really being sold? I sincerely doubt that all these third-party sellers are actually selling suction mount from the same manufacturing source. And that may explain why some of them are being rated as working well ... while other raters are reporting the product as cheaply-made and/or failing after a week.Accordingly, to try to maximize receiving a suction mount of at least similar quality to the last one I had, I ordered from the same third-party seller that I ordered the prior suction mount from, Semsons.I was thinking maybe that seller would still be pushing old stock (under the new brand name). Or perhaps that seller holds higher standards about the product it takes-in. Or whatever. Idk if it helped or not. But, again, against other reviewers saying their suction mount were no-good, so far, mine is holding tightly and consistently.ASIDE: I have found that if you want to try to mount the suction mount to the windshield with some kind of adhesive, the best substance I have found to use for that is Permatex Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant. You can snag it at most auto hardware stores for a few bucks a tube. Too much, too little, it doesn't work so well. But with the Goldilock amount applied, it significantly improves the hold and endurance of a suction cup. But it's a chore to clean off the windshield when the cup eventually does fail. And, again, that is usually under summer heat. Most of it will peel off pretty easy, but the remainder requires tons of scraping with a single-edge razor blade. So I just don't fool with it anymore. But if you get desperate, I say that's the adhesive you should try.

GPS arm: check your windscreen angle before you purchase.
I bought this because my Garmin arm broke. This works well and it sucks onto the windshield and the ball attachment at the back is tight and perfect. When compared to the Garmin, the metal pin is way thinner, and the arm is shorter by a full ball width. Not a big deal if the window of your vehicle comes up from the hood at a steep high angle. If your window is more slanted you cannot tilt the GPS upward toward you. You can only tilt it straight forward, eg parallel to the road, or downward. The reason being, that because the arm is so short, the tilt movement of the GPS is limited very much. My GPS's antenna flaps up from behind (Nuvi370) and when it is fully extended, in the clamp on the ball, the top of the antenna touches the windscreen and there is no more room between the antenna and the windscreen. If the arm was longer this would not have been a problem. For the price it is worth it. This limitation actually works well at night, when the glare of the screen (even when turned down) cannot shine directly into your eyes. It does the job, but not quite perfectly. I would still recommend it.

This Little Guy Really HOLDS!
I have owned a Garmin Nuvi 1350 for a number of years now, and it's been a good GPS unit. But, the window suction mount eventually got weaker and weaker causing the unit to fall off the window and lay there, all forlorn. I decided to finally replace the suction mount and began looking. Lo-and-behold, there was one on Amazon that was like $1.00!!! I said, well, if it doesn't work, I am not out much! But WOW, does it work! I do believe this mount is better than the original sent from Garmin with the GPS unit. I did a side-by-side comparison of them and this one appears to be constructed even more stoutly than the original. That is rare! And for so little money spent, it's great!I just completed a convention journey - driving 11 hours to Dallas and back again - and it has stayed on the window for almost a week now. The GPS stays put and does not move around on the ball joint. So, yes, I am thoroughly pleased with it. For the money, you can't beat it!Hope this helps you in your purchasing decision.

A great replacement for the original Garmin suction holder.
After a few years, the original Garmin suction would not longer work - and I had only used it may a couple of times a month over the years. But when I took it apart I could see why it would fail. This new unit seems to have a much better actuator than the Garmin "twist base".This has a large lever to press down to generate suction. The curved part with the ball attachment is not quite as long, but work fine with both of my "holders".I now actually use it and the bean bag base (from Amazon Basics) to hold my cell phone.

Arrived broken
My product arrived broken and I was unable to request a replacement so I had to return it and since the price went up I’m hesitant to reorder the same one.

Very sticky
Sticks great. In fact it's so stuck to my window that I'm pretty sure I'll have to take it off with a razor and goo-gone when im done using it.. It has effectively melted to the window.Serves it's purpose very well as long as you intend to put it in one spot forever. I'm probably going to hate it when I need to remove it.

Direct Replacement, works great
I like this one a lot. Garmin charges so much for this little thing. I could not find just this piece from Garmin as they only sell the entire holder and for way more money. I have had to replace 2 of the garmin sucker cups so far and got tire of them breaking soon after. Once the plastic piece tears out of the suckercup, it will no longer stick to the windshield. I bought this one thinking that if it breaks at least it did not cost as much as the garmin ones. But, so far it is holding up well. Good replacement and fits into the other piece of the garmin holder just like the original. Direct replacement for when the garmin sucker cup breaks.

Stays where ever you put it.
I needed to attach my cell phone to my clip board while taking astronomical sights at night. The clip board is plastic and the suction cup appears permanently attached. The ball on the end of the cup fits the cell phone holder and now I have no fears of dropping my cell phone while using the clip board.

Nice replacement suction mount
All plastic and yet functional for my Garmin GPS (original suction cup damaged after many years use) at affordable price. So far doing well during winter but yet to evaluate during the searing summer months.

Easy to use
I bought this as my mio sat nav holder clip broke and the mio holder was out of stock on their website. Did a bit of DIY to make sure this fitted and it did! Well impressed :)
