Overpriced but very good
This is a wonderful espresso blend and grind. The flavor is exceptional. The problem is the cost. Amazon and illy continue to raise the price on this through tariffs found to be illegal. When the tariff priced coffee per 8oz is now prices above $17+ means that a pound of this coffee is over $33. It is just ridiculous. So in a search to find a reasonably priced blend for Amazon shoppers that doesn’t have the excess greed attached to it, I have tried brand after brand and discovered the shade grown espresso blend at Trader Joe’s. It is $10 a pound. The flavor profile is very close to illy forte. It costs about five dollars for the 8 ounces illy charges for $17+. When this illy coffee was priced at $11 a can that was already $22 a pound but as a luxury purchase I could justify it for my business. But for $34 for one pound of this coffee it is bordering on criminal.

A coffee to savor at a price.
A very good brew and certainly superior to the review I gave today for a specific version of Bold Coffee by Seattle's Best. I have other blends of that manufacturer to yet sample and am not criticizing that Coffee company, only that selected brew (Post Road). The Ground Drip is a bit pricey, but it is well packaged and it costs a good deal less than going into a Coffee shop for their brews even at the relatively higher cost. Perhaps at a larger sized container it would be an even better value for the money.

Full dark flavor
Love this coffee it has a dark rich flavor . Be careful opening the can , it’s under pressure and can spray grounds all over when first opening.

If you like your coffee bold - try this Illy Forte!
This is the only Illy Coffee I order now! Why you ask?! I love the rich roast, it’s an “Extra Bold Roast” - it’s one of my super favorites! I have had some of the others they make - the more intense ones - but with this one I hit the jackpot! The flavor is the best! Also the quality of the beans, the way it comes in metal cans with a top that seals in the coffee beans to perfection! Then poof! Open it and Wow! The aroma, the intensity! I’m in love!
