Poaches the eggs perfectly.
A Christmas request from my young granddaughter! She’s a lover of poached eggs, and she’s using it every morning. This is heavy duty, quality construction. It does a great job.

Not cheap junk
I used to own a mirro egg poaching pan, loved it! After many years and several moves, it dissapeared :-(. I finally found this Farberware pan, it is perfect, Not flimsy junk! Heavy duty stainless steel insert with durable smooth egg cups the pan doubles as a great frying pan for scrambled or fried eggs. I can probably will this to my kids!

Do Not Use High Heat !!!!!!!
The instructions on the pan specifically states, "Do Not Use High Heat". Been using my Egg Poacher for a week now and it works perfectly. No melted plastic cups, No water boiling into the egg cups, and the eggs do not stick in the cups. I place a little butter in each cup, then place the covered pan on the burner on low/med heat. When water simmers I lower the heat a little and add the eggs. They are cooked perfectly in about 5 minutes.

Farberware egg poachers.
I would not buy this product. The egg cups are plastic. I burned a hole in three of the cups the first week I used it. I can’t seem to find a site to buy new egg cups.

Worth the price
I admit it...my wallet is tight, I look for bargains (cheap bargains). I love sales. This pan was not a bargain compared to others that I've priced. Enough about me. This pan is GREAT!! I've used it as a frying pan for small items. It's the perfect size for that. Easy clean up. Today I used it for its express purpose..."poached" eggs. It worked as advertised. The cups look small, but held the large (at least that's what the grocery store calls them - I'd grade them a medium) egg with room to spare. I'm pretty sure the cups would hold an actual large egg (like I buy at Costco). I didn't use anything to grease the cups. I wanted to see what would happen. The eggs stuck a little. The clean up was painless especially compared to my old pan. Next time I'll try spraying with Pam and see if that works better. I really like the little knob on the cup holder insert. It's a very thoughtful addition to the product. I read a one star review before I purchased that complained that the cups melted. I'm pretty sure the reviewer thought that "oven safe" referred to the cups rather than just the pan. The PAN is apparently oven safe although I don't plan on using it in the oven.

Copper pan but plastic cups?!
Pan is great, but why are the cups plastic (nylon?). Especially from a company that prides itself on its copper finish? I'm cooking the eggs in the cups, not the copper pan! That's just for boiling water. The eggs stick to the cups. Too bad.

Makes Great Poached Eggd
This is such an easy way to make poached eggs. The eggs cups do need to be sprayed with Pam, or coated with butter to avoid sticking.

This is a pretty good product so far.... easy to clean, easy to use, very safe, parts are safe to wash and dry by hand or in the dishwasher, but you only really have to clean the cups, hot soapy water on the stainless steel part of it.... it's what I wanted so it was worth the buy, to me it was, everyone has different taste

Perfect Poacher! Thanks

This pan is so small! The egg cups are tiny and you end up with egg balls. I sent it back
