Easy to install
Once you remove the existing ballast installation is easy. Connect the black and white wires for power, everything else is easy. All of the led tubes and power box attach to the light fixture magnetically. Output are nice, bright led lights. Nicely made.

Bright way to save electricity
The instructions are very easy to follow and took only a short time to install. It emits even nicer light than the fluorescent bulbs this replaced. Just one caveat, if you're not skilled or comfortable installing electric fixtures, this may not be for you. This is my 5th retrofit using either 2 or 4 magnetized LED strips, so I am sold on the energy savings and improved lighting these LED strips provide.

Bright and went together well
I would purchase this again the next time a ballast fails in a fluorescent. I think it is a better option to replacing ballast. It's not without minor annoyances, though. It takes about 2 seconds to turn on, and it has a very faint hum. Otherwise, assuming it lasts close to the advertised 50,000 hours, I am very happy with it. One other thing to note is that the instructions are a bit underwhelming. I purchased the "dimming" model. I am used to the dimming occurring at the light switch via a slider module. In this case, the dimming has a separate pair of wires that I have no idea what to do with. I capped them and the light seem to work fine without using them.

Missing Parts
The original order arrived without the LED driver, so I had to return it. The replacement included all parts and installed without issues. The light output is strong. It does not include a dimmer, only 0–10V control wires. I capped them with the provided wire nuts, but had to fold the wires over since the nuts were too large. I plan to add a Shelly dimmer later for brightness control.

Fluorescent bulb replacement to a LED bulb.
I felt like an experienced electrician installing this replacement. It took me 2 hours and I could have done it in l. Someone was really thinking when they built this modification. I had dealt with no light in the laundry room for almost a year while trying to make a decision on either replacing the ballast when I stumbled onto a YouTube site that used an LED as a replacement. That got me thinking when I researched this and stumbled upon this approach from Amazon. I think this method is a much easier approach than using fluorescent bulbs with led bulbs inside and then having to remember that they are not actually fluorescent bulbs in the future.

Try some quality control and don’t pass off used units as new!!!
I’ve installed several of these lights and haven’t had any issues with the performance. I ordered one for another room. It was delivered without the controller. So now I had to request a replacement, wait another week for delivery, cross my fingers the controller will be included and send the old one back for credit. A lot of extra work for a LACK OF QUALITY CONTROL! leads me to believe this was a used or returned unit. I am not pleased with this at all!

Very Easy To install / Update from original review
Update: So easy to install I ordered and installed another one. Now fingers crossed that I get the long term performance. Original: I have two, covered, 4' fluorescent light fixtures in our walk in closet. They are $175 units each, not cheap garage lights. Since the ballast failed on one, I chose to rewire for LED bulbs. Seemed easy, after watching several YouTube videos. I'm experienced & handy with wiring, but I couldn't get new LED lights to work with the old tombstones. Bottomline, it didn't take 5 minutes to install this Troffer Retrofit Kit. The lumens/brightness is perfect. So rather than replace a $175 light, and also pay for replacement bulbs, I still have matching fixtures and a new LED system for $41.62 including tax. The only caveat: there is a one second delay on turn-on.

Works great as a CoraLife retrofit
We have a 4ft wide aquarium fluorescent light fixture made by CoraLife that used 4 pin compact fluorescent tubes. This retrofit worked great as a replacement for the guts of the aquarium fixture. Removed the old ballast and fluorescent tubes and installed the LED driver where the old ballast was. The only small difficulty was that the CoraLife fixture is aluminum plus there is a reflector so the magnets to attach the LED light strips would not work. Fortunately the CoraLife fixture has clips to hold the fluorescent tubes that we were able to use with twist ties to hold the lightweight LED strips in place. An added bonus is that the LED retrofit runs much cooler than the old fluorescent tubes so there are fewer problems now with overheating the tank water. The CoraLife fixture has cooling fans that were necessary when it was fluorescent, but now I'm not sure they are needed with the LEDs, however I left the fans connected, won't hurt. Our tank is heavily planted with CO2 injection and this LED retrofit (5000K) makes the plants grow very well.
