I recently smashed the lid to a 32 cm 3-ply stainless steel Calphalon fry pan. At first I tried the "universal" replacement lid made by the company for all of its approximately 12" pots. But on first wash before using, it collected water between the glass and the stainless steel rim which took days to dry out. Yech, not sanitary! This lid was less expensive and fits just as well. Because the silicon is flexible, it sort of form-fits and doesn't have to be exact. It also works great with my wok, sitting a little inside the rim but forming a tight seal. I also really like the fact that the lid can be set upside down on its flat silicon knob, not to mention the knob stays cool to the touch. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the large etched Gourmia insignia in the glass ... but heh, that's minor aesthetics. Function was more important for this purchase.

Well designed product and vented. Vent can be used to put a thermometer into food. Silicone rim serves multiple purposes, keeps lid in place securely, sits on counter without scratching counter, beveled to fit a variety of pans.

I am very pleased with my purchase. It fits all our large pans and skillets. On a 10 in pan, there is an overhang of the silicon, but it still traps the moisture and does not drip on the sides. I don’t feel like it has any suction power, but not sure why that’s necessary. Easy to clean and store away. It’s not microwave safe, but not sure why you would need something that large for the microwave.

I purchased this lid to replace my t-fal 15 inch lid that was broken upon learning you can't buy the lid separately. This lid actual fit, and I am able to use it on other pots and pans that are missing lids. The downside is the lid it replaced was not a vented lid and this one is so if I am cooking anything that needs to retain liquids, need to monitor closely.

I purchased this lid after breaking one for a 13" pan. I also needed a lid for a 12" pan. This lid works for both beautifully. I love that it doesn't take much space, it seals tightly, and you can easily see the food through the lid.

why did my mom never tell me about this? I almost got rid of a pot that had no lid but this is a game changer! Im in love! this lid is solid! I love that its glass and you can see what your cooking! I need to get a few more, they are so super practical.

This works for all of my pots and pans from 10" Le Creuset pan to my large 12" cast iron pan. So happy to have a dang lid now! Some of them don't seal (sit on the pan rim), the lid will just sit on top of the pot's handles, but that hasn't necessarily been a problem for me. Just, fyi.Edit: the silicone stains and holds odors easily, and the glass part does not come clean by handwash nor dishwasher.

We have a 12 inch T-fal pan that did not come with a lid, and some recipes call for simmering meals, covered. After comparing a few different lids here on Amazon, I picked this one based on price and other reviews. I’m glad I did, as it fits our pan perfectly, and cleans well in the dishwasher. Great purchase.
