Principles of Electric Machines and Power Electronics

This is one of the best EE textbooks I've ever read. So many textbooks try to cram interesting but unnecessary material within that they become bloated and almost useless as a quick reference guide. Dr. Sen has written a great textbook that explains a bit of history, discusses the underlying physics, then gets right to some nice step by step examples. It'll stay with me long after my class is over.

No doubt this is the best book of a undergraduate course of electrical machines. The content is clear to understand. The author focuses on what is really necessary to learn about machines.

Very clear explanations of difficult and hard to visualize concepts

The book briefly mentions topics and then has examples on said topics which are worked without hardly any explanation on how the author gets from point a to point b.

I bought the book to help me study for the PE. It was exactly what I was looking for.
