Perfect for cutting quilting cotton for applique
I use the Thin Fabric Auto Blade to cut applique shapes from quilting cotton and batiks. It cuts these thin fabrics easily and smoothly. I would not recommend it for anything fuzzy or with a nap. My attempt at cutting batting was a disaster. The batting was too thick and it resulted in a mess on the mat as well. When used for the appropriate purpose, the Thin Fabric Auto Blade is perfect.

Great for paper as well!
The auto blade that comes with the machine is bigger and thicker and cutting smaller items it would leave a "ridge" on the sides. So I bought this blade to see if the cuts came out better and they did. This blade is much thinner and smaller and works better for intricate cutting and any type of paper cutting that I have done so far.

It fits in the holder but I haven't tried it yet on fabric. Have cut fabric with blades that come with it and hoping for more success with this, However, if I had taken the time to do TEST CUTS I may have had better results with the original blade.
