I read some of the negative reviews about this book. Here are my thoughts...Yes, you can find the patterns online, and the author acknowledges that with links to various websites. What I like it's the whole compilation. The book makes it easier to have these patterns all together, so you're not having to search them out.The patterns themselves are charming (for baby blankets), and fairly easy to make. The only pattern that a beginner may have confusion about is the one that has a little hat, too. The hat pattern isn't there, but the supplies call for 2 different sizes of hooks.The pictures are small, but with a Kindle, you can enlarge them easily.I got this ebook for free, and I think it is a good resource. Thanks for taking the time to put it together.

First, I have been crocheting for about 40 years.PROS: This book has easy and intermediate patterns. It has pictures of completed projects, which is important to me. Instructions are well written. Any special stitches are explained before instructions are given. CONS: I did not like that the pictures of completed projects were of whole blankets. It would be an improvement (in my opinion) to also show a close up section of blanket too show details of pattern you are working to accomplish.OVERALL: I like this book and will be making some of these projects!

The first thing in the book is a list of links to Free Projects and Crafts. Yeah!! Can it get any better? Yes it can! With an all free crochet afghan pattern website and free newsletter ! Now to baby blankets. Here is one I would like to share. Lingering Over A Lullaby Blanket. It has a ruffled edge and beautiful baby in the picture. It is worked up using the shell and picot stitches. The skill level is easy. The finished work is 38 inches by 40 inches. It explains how to work the specialty stitches. Enjoy this and the other beautiful blankets to make and then share.

It was a good 4.5 stars! This collection held much better promise than "Free Crochet Patterns for Every Season'" and the selection covering only baby blankets were very impressive. Textures, colors and stitches offer a crocheter a hard choice on which to tackle first. I wish the pictures were better - close up enough to see the pattern/texture (maybe in an inset) since it was hard to see any stitch definition in the photos (which were generally too small and seemed far away). Other than that one issue, this book is a great find and allows a person to do the same project (baby blanket) without having to actually do the same pattern. Sweet!

Great patterns & easy instructions. I’ve just started crocheting after not doing so in 20+ years. These patterns were easy to follow & the end results have turned out exactly as I wanted.

There are several patterns that make fun, custom blankets for gifts. I have a hard time sitting still so crochet and knitting are perfect. These are fairly easy patterns that produce beautiful results.

One can not have too many baby blanket patterns. There is always a need for one. Each pattern is marked for difficulty so that it is easy to find one to make at your level. And it is simply impossible to beat the price of these little darlings.

I remember and have knitting patterns for 6d! Nice to have up to date patterns although a little pricey but free delivery makes up for that. One already knitted 🧶
