Great rod
I bought this rod after purchasing a previous dead eye model. They both are far better rods than their price tag. Ive used these side by side with st croix rods, i would put them in between the avid and the legends. Way nicer the the premier and lower end rods. Also i snapped the tip off this rod when i closed a door on it and Okuma replaced it no quesitons asked. Great customer service. Also their reels are very nice. I have bought 2 now and will continue to do so. Like them better than the presidents i used to use and they were less expensive. WIll continue to buy okuma products.

Broken rod
The rod I ordered works much better when it's not broken in two pieces.Can't believe how Amazon packed it !!!

Buy it and be disappointed.
I recieved it just fine. As soon as I take it out of the canister the tip broke. I picked it up and waved it up and down and another part broke. Wow is it that brittle? Very cheaply made. I would not buy this. Imagine catching a small fish and your pole breaks. I would be so embarrassed I would jump in the water not to retrieve the fish but to hide from onlookers.

Nice Rod!
This is a good rod in my opinion. It is supposed to be for walleye but I bought it for everything but that. Has good backbone and very fast tip paired it with Okuma stratus VI 1000 and been using it for trout and works nice. Might put 2000 reel and try on bass with dropshot due to the sensitivity of it but not sure yet. My only problem was when it was packed, it was put in box and not a tube and last eye or the biggest one was bend pretty bad from someone jamming it into box. Fortunately I can fix these things whereas the average person can't and would have sent it back. More care needed in this area but I'm satisfied.
