Amazing: Will Never Go Back to Store-Bought Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer Again
I don't normally drink soda, and I bought a case of this to make homemade Moscow Mules. This is, quite simply, amazing. If all you're used to typical store-bought ginger ale, you're in for a surprise. This is everything the manufacture says: less sweet, spicy, more carbonated, and definitely more flavorful than Canada Dry or whatever else you've been drinking. Now, this is IMPORTANT: this is really, really good, and drinkable on it's own, despite what the manufacturer says. You don't have to use this ONLY for mixed drinks. It's very refreshing by itself. HOWEVER... Q Drinks also makes a ginger ale, which I have yet to try, but will assume it's wonderful on it's own, and really meant as a refreshing drink on it's own.BTW: one can makes 2 Moscow Mules (mug full of ice, 6 oz. of soda, that's 3/4 cup, 2 oz. Vodka, that's 1/4 cup, and a 1/2 oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice, that's 1 tablespoon or 1/2 a lime, plus a lime wedge).So... what is ginger beer anyway? The big difference between ginger beer and ginger ale is that traditionally, ginger beer is usually brewed (fermented). Ginger ale is carbonated water that’s been flavored with ginger, and in some cases, other spices. Q Drinks Ginger Beer is NOT fermented, so is not a true ginger beer, but whatever... the vodka (or other spirit) provides the alcohol, this provides the flavor. Don't get all experimental and use an inferior ginger beer; this is all you need.Today’s brewed ginger beers are categorized as non-alcoholic drinks because their alcohol content is less than 0.5 percent, which meets FDA requirements. Since ginger beers are naturally fermented, they have less carbonation and often develop a beer-like head when poured into a glass. Some ginger beers are sold unfiltered and appear cloudy, so it’s recommended the bottle be inverted before drinking to reincorporate any separation. The truth is, ginger beer used to mean a ginger ale that was "brewed with ginger, sugar, water, lemon juice and a bacteria called “ginger beer plant” — the final product did have a small alcohol content of no more than 11 percent. Ginger ale was purported to be first invented in 1851 in Ireland" So... ginger beer was originally an alcoholic drink, but in this case, it's just a spicy ginger ale, but still amazing. (previous info. and quote taken from an article in Huffington Post). For some manufacturers, including this one, it's basically ginger ale that is significantly stronger, more carbonated, and has more spices added (this one, BTW, contains carbonated water, organic agave, ginger extract, extracts of lime, coriander, cardamom, oranges and chili peppers, and citric acid). This is made in Brooklyn, so of course it's "artisanal," but hey... it is amazing. for real. I won't be buying store bought ginger ale or ginger beer anytime soon.

Real Life True Blood makes it to the US Market
When I read the letter from Jordan Silbert, Founder of Q Drinks that came with my heavily anticipated 12 pack, it confirmed my highest hopes. The letter finishes with "...so I want to make sure you can enjoy ... my blood... no matter what".Finally, what I have been in search of my entire life: a legal, easily accessible, and cheap source of human hemoglobin with enough ginger and spices to melt the paint off my stupid neighbors 500HP Harley he enjoys revving at 2A.M.At first I wasn't sure what to mix it with, so like any hetero I decided to take it straight. Best mistake of my life.As my eye rolled into the back of my head and the silver from my fillings started to liquefy I could feel the life energy of Jordan Silbert consume me. I could not stop until I couldn't get another drop out of the can, and even then I had to grab my paring knife from the kitchen to cut open the can and lick off any residue. One negative, other than the rather significant cuts on my tongue from licking the mangled can, is waking up with blood stains around my mouth, mud on my shoes, and my front door left wide open, but I cannot confirm any of this is related.I recommend this drink for anyone who wants to drink the blood of a millionaire, especially those without carpets as they are hard to get mud out of.

Excellent taste at a reasonable price
My husband and I went on a ginger beer rampage, sampling every brand we could lay our hands on, both sugar free and sugar sweetened, canned or bottled, NOT for its virtues as a cocktail mixer, but strictly for stand-alone taste. To our palates, Q wins the honors for sugared ginger beer in a can. Sweet enough, tons of zing, clean finish. Now a word about the packaging. I think we are average in preferring easy-open shipping boxes with the least amount of wasteful packing material as will safely deliver the goods. Q was shipped with zero wasted box size and packing material. But when I opened the outer box only to find a slightly smaller “kachina doll” box tightly packed within and difficult to remove, I could feel my hackles rising. Upon vanquishing the inner box, I saw a note from the manufacturer. Q apologized for the ordeal, and explained that its packing configuration inhibited the internal movement of its produce, reducing the chance that the (highly carbonated) drink would arrive exploded, or worse, arrive ready to explode. Upon reflection, Q’s ginger beer did arrive in a somewhat less “excited” condition than any other, so the seemingly excessive packing was worthwhile after all. 5 stars all around.

Treat your buds, your taste buds!
I like to drink ginger beer by its self as a soda pop if you will. I've tried pretty much every ginger beer that's made and this one is by far the best. It has the most ginger flavor of any I've tried and carbonation is high but still very palatable. It has pepper extract so it's spicy and brings some heat but it's not overwhelming in anyway. A combination of the ginger and spicy bite tingles your nose a little on your 1st sip but it's an addictive experience. I've emptied store shelves of this stuff before, it's that good. If you want to make the mule drink I recommend using a good bourbon vs other spirits, Woodford reserve makes a mule like no other.

Finally! A ginger beer that isn't sugary sweet!
I have been looking for a ginger beer that has a great ginger bite that isn't compromised by a sugary taste and I have finally found it with this product! The ginger bite is exactly what i was looking for. I love the additional blend of spices added to compliment the ginger taste. I love ginger so for me, the stronger the better. It's hilarious when i have new people try it and they are shocked by how strong the ginger bite is. I myself am amused that sometimes when i take a swig of it, the ginger hits my nasal passages so quickly that I end up coughing before I go right back in for another swig. I've been eyeing this on Amazon and am so happy that they are stocking it regularly. This is definitely a staple in my pantry. BIG props to the people at Q for making an awesome ginger beer!
