Golden Heavy Body Acrylic Paint, 2-Ounce, Yellow Ochre (GLDNHB-14072)

Golden acrylic paint is my top choice for acrylic artists. Not only is the pigment load excellent, so is the consistency of the paint. if there are any issues Golden stands behind their product. 20 stars if I could give them.

This product is definitely for beginners as well as seasoned artists. In many cases, the newer artist will gravitate toward, “student grade” paints. This is a mistake for two reasons: if the painting does not have a good heavy body paint—especially white—the beginning artist may believe the problem with the painting falls squarely on her shoulders, when a thicker body paint is actually needed. The second reason is that if an artist does not buy a good full-body paint such as Golden, the artist will end up using twice as much of a, “student grade” or cheaper paint to try to get the effect she is looking for in a heavy body acrylic paint.This paint is very easy to use, mixes well with other colors and—in my humble opinion—has good staying power on the palette. It does not dry out as quickly as other brands of acrylic paints.Golden has a website that, should any artist have a question, a “live” person will answer any and all questions if the information is not readily found on their site.Golden is reliable: all colors are always the same color tube for tube; never a deviation that I’ve noticed. Golden strives to make sure their customers are happy with their purchase. And finally, Golden paints are made here in the United States, which is truly appreciated.

I really like the entire line of Golden acrylic paints. Great color, texture, and smoothness.
