Update #2: replacement dead, I give up
Update #2:It's back to the drawing board for me. After about 2 years of use, the shuffle has shorted out, again. For the amount I paid for the unit, I expect more than a 2 year lifespan. Very disappointed.--------Update:I originally thought the charge wasn't holding, turns out, water shorted it out. :( But the company did a great job working with me to get a replacement. I emailed them the tracking number for my return and they sent me a new one before they'd even received the old one. The new one works as promised. The headphones don't provide the best quality, but they're good enough for my usual 30-45 minute swim. They're also a bit hard to get properly placed, but a lot of that is just trial and error with finding the correct sized earbud. Once in, they're comfortable. The short cord is the perfect length - I usually clip the iPod to my goggles and the cord gives me plenty of length. I've gotten a lot of comments at the pool about it, and I'm happy to say I can tell people that it performs as advertised.------------I bought this about two months ago and it no longer seems to be holding a charge correctly. It lasts about 45 minutes, which is enough to get me through my cardio, but then it dies on me while I'm lifting weights. :-\ I'm going to try a different charger and see if that helps, otherwise, I'll be contacting the company about returning it.

Great customer service; Some difficulties with product.
I used this iPod for about 2-3 months, 3-4 times a week, before it stopped working. Worked just great and then stopped working. Music just wouldn't play. But I think it was just a fault in the iPod I received. However, Underwater Audio had excellent customer service. My complaint was swiftly replied to and contained a handful of trouble-shooting strategies to try out. When those didn't work, I sent it back to the company, who replaced my iPod within a week.Overall, I greatly enjoy this iPod and it helps my pool workouts a little more enjoyable. Should my second iPod die, I'll update this review.

3 Years Strong
I don't swim daily, but it's my workout of choice. I've used this at a casual level for over 3 years now and can confidently recommend them to anyone. The iPod works great. Setup is effortless if you're familiar with Apple, very simple if you aren't and you follow the iTunes tutorial. The earbuds are excellent, several different size options come with the package. They recommend a bit of petroleum jelly to keep the earbuds in and waterproof- as a lap swimmer I agree that it helps, but definitely isn't necessary as long as you put them in properly.Easy to clip to goggles, controls on the shuffle never were my favorite, but they're easy to remember (there are only six buttons after all).

I've been swimming with these for 4 months and I still love them. I swim a mile or more 4 times a week and do flip-turns, they stay in about 95% of the time. The arrived with a small tube of lip balm which you're supposed to put on them to keep the ear buds in. It's pretty ingenious and works well. I never have to use ear drops anymore since the ear buds keep the water out completely. After 4 months, one ear bud stopped working, but I guess that's to be expected since I regularly throw them in the bag with my wet swimsuit, cap and goggles. Just ordered a replacement pair of headphones for $20, maybe I'll start drying them off now after swimming.

Love it
I have enjoyed this waterproof shuffle during my swim workouts for a while. Most recently it has been a lifesaver! With local pools and lakes closed, I’ve been swimming in our backyard pool, tethered to a tree. Workouts can be pretty monotonous. I close my eyes and the music transports me to open water.

iPod 5 stars, ear buds 1 star.
The iPod itself is great, I have a hard time getting the ear buds to stay in. I spend a lot of time adjusting those, even while swimming. It's really annoying. The little plastic stays that wrap around your ear that come with it won't help either and are more annoying that the ear buds itself. I'm using a swim cap, but that doesn't help much. Sometimes they do stay in, but then it starts to hurt quite a bit, so I'm forced to adjust yet again. I do not think the buds are good for flip-turns as they advertise. iPod 5 stars, ear plugs 1 star.

Awesome. I used to have put my real ipod or iphone into one of those pain in the ass waterproof casings--this is much better. The earbuds are pretty good too, sound is great. My ears got a little irritated, but they've always been kinda sensitive that way, but a small price to pay to be able to listen to music while doing one of the most boring forms of exercise.

Be prepared to get new headphones
The headphones provided were poor quality and not up to par for the cost of the really good player.
