COJOY Handheld Egg Cracker Separator York & White Separator

Pretty shocked at how well this works. I thought it would be one of those products that looks cool but is a complete disaster in person. My 16 year old loves eggs but hates cracking them. He loves this thing. We’ve used it a few times now with no problems. Washed well in my dishwasher too.

First, this came without any product details when I opened the box. No paperwork. No instructions before 1st use. No precautions or instructions for cleaning. Not even what kind of plastic this item is made of.This worked perfectly the first time I used this. But then it would break the yolks the next 2 out of three times of use.What I see as a design flaw is; when you insert the egg between the plastic hoops that hold the egg, this causes the blades underneath to spread out a bit. Therefore, the two blades don't pierce the egg in the same spot. Maybe the spring mechanism isn't strong enough to hold the two blades together. So you need to pinch the blades together with one hand while squeezing the handle at the same time with the other hand to get a good result. Also, the plastic handle seems to bend a bit while using, so I'm not sure how sturdy this product is & no telling how long this will last.But for the price, I guess you cannot expect too much. This would be an excellent item if constructed of stainless steel. Of coarse it would cost much more, but would be worth the price if it lasted a lifetime.I got this for my 92 year old dad, who cannot see all that well, but loves to eat eggs. This may be a little difficult for him to use, as it takes some practice & is not so easy or fool proof to use.

I have a disability that necessitates a tool like this.Product arrived in a torn-and-taped inner box, and the item itself had been well-used; It bore many marks and scratches, the pins had wallowed out their holes (resulting in wobbly operation) and worse, dirt had been embedded into the scratches. I briefly considered throwing it into the dishwasher to sanitize it, but discovered via the instructions that the item is NOT dishwasher-safe. I soaked the item in dish soap for about an hour before I tried to use it.Finally, I had the chance to try it. Upon doing so with size 18 eggs, I quickly discovered the item failed to split the egg and just crushed it. I tried four more times with four new eggs before deciding to throw it in the bin.tl;dr I received a used, dirty, and ultimately useless item. Avoid.Edited to share usage experience.

Very easy to use.

I tried to crack my first egg with it and it never cracked it. Don't waste your money on this item. There may be better ones on the market but I suggest stay away from this item.

I, personally, found this hard to use. It did crack the egg very nicely but had difficulty separating yolk from white. It may be due to my arthritis but not useful for me.

Wife was pleased with this inexpensive kitchen gadget, makes seperating eggs a breeze.
