Most memory foam to support lumbar are so soft that I fail to see why it would make a difference to anyone’s discomfort. The cushion passed the test because it is firm enough to actually support my lumbar. After decades of using Samsonite I’ve come to rely on their product quality and this will be useful gor many years.

The lumbar support went out in my husbands car so I got this one since it was cooling and so many others were not. Works great and my only complaint is that it doesn't fit snug against the back of the seat. You have to push it back to get in and lean against it to get it in the right spot. Doesn't seem to bother my husband at all though and he says it's very comfortable. He said if it were tighter it might not be able to move where you need it as easily though so he's happy.

I have chronic lower back pain and sitting for more than a few minutes can be difficult. I bought this for my car and it is AMAZING. I no longer have to frequently squirm and rotate to relieve the pain. It was so helpful I bought a second one to use at home. Well worth the money. I tried two other versions before finding success with Samonite which provides a more ergonomic and firmer support.

This lumbar support back pillow is perfect and the cooling feature is great, especially in the summer. I use this for my office chair at work and I don't have any back pain after 8 hours. it fits perfect in my lower back

This is comfortable. And it is actually cool for the first couple of minutes. Then it changes to whatever temperature your back is because it is not refrigerated, just cool. Two things you realize after installing it - most cars have bucket seats, so this means that the strap that holds it to the seat can only do so much to keep it in place. The poofy areas on the sides of the back of your seat will keep it out a little. That's no fault of the product, but it would be different if your seat had a back that was just flat. So this means that you have to kind of slide into it when you are getting in the car. Otherwise, it is easy to snag it and you end up sitting on it instead of against it. I solved this by getting a full seat cover. The elastic of the seat cover keeps it sucked into the back of the seat a lot better. The second thing you should know is that when it is cold out, say 20 - 40 degrees F, sitting against this is at first like sitting against a cube of butter. It firms up in the cold. This only lasts for a few minutes before a little warm-up relaxes the gel and it squishes to a more comfortable shape. This doesn't bother me but I just wanted to pass that on. If you don't like the idea of that, avoid the pillows that have gel. Personally, I like that. It is like a little extra pressure on my lumbar before relaxing to a more natural shape.

I got this to alleviate my sciatica when driving or riding in the car. The fact that it was cooling would’ve been a bonus. Unfortunately it didn’t work out for my sciatica but it definitely had good cooling effects. It does appear to be well made & may very well work for you if your purpose is office chair back support.

Just received it this morning. I'm using it on my couch as I write this. Whew! What a relief to my back! Wish I had found this year's ago. My back hurts continually everyday, all day so this is "heavenly to my back".

Very good solution, good cost, pain relief, almost a year and it looks like a new one

It is good quality but makes me sit forward too much because it is pretty thick. Also the strap doesn't really help keep it on the back rest of the chair so it kind of flops forward. BUT it has improved my posture while sitting and makes me happy to get of my chair and walk around.

Excelente producto. Cumple con lo prometido. Tengo una silla en la oficina que estaba muy incómoda y ya con esta almohada mejoró mucho mi postura y aguante. Un poco dura al inicio pero con el tiempo se hace más blandita y muy cómoda.

Cheap product that looks nothing like the photo, and is quite uncomfortable. Can’t recommend.
