Great book for young readers
My daughter loves this book (She is 5 years old) and all the "Fancy Nancy" books she can get her hands on. Her teacher gave her the one with "The Boy from Paris" for Christmas and she loved it, especially because it was one of the first books she was able to read all by herself; so after that I got her the 4 book set and some others from the "I Can Read" series. The language is fun and the stories are well put together for beginners, just what they need to be encouraged ;) Highly recommend this series for young girls; especially "girly girls".

Great Book
Our 5 year old was getting bullied at school so we knew we needed more reinforcements than just Mom and Dad's experience to tell her how to handle the situation. Enter Fancy Nancy, which she loved before this book. It is a great book to help explain to a youngster about bullies. If you are experiencing bullying give this book a try.

My 8 year old liked it.
My 8 year old loves the Fancy Nancy books. She just turned 8 and discovered Fancy Nancy fairly recently. She says she likes some of the other Fancy Nancy books a little better than this one but all of them are good.

Perfect for my 1st Grade!
What a great starting point for a discussion about bullies with my 6 year old. We enjoyed this book and found it very useful.

Fun read for early readers
I wasn't actually sure I would like Nancy, but I do. I used this book as a springboard for my second grade class to discuss how we might handle unkind behavior. Immediately afterwards several students requested it for their book boxes, and it is making the rounds with the girls--and even some of the boys. Although it is a beginning level reader many of my more advanced readers have wanted a turn as well.

Not Enough Mean-ness!
This is an excellent book series. Can't go wrong with her fancy words. My little girl adores her. I rate this book 3 stars only because, the author didn't elaborate on what the mean girl did. I was hoping the author would identify some mean things kids of this age do, highlight them as not appropriate things I do or say to each other, then have the mean girl turn from her mean ways from Nancy's help. Oh well. Still love this series of books. Not enough to put me off. Enjoy and Happy Reading parents and kids!

Great books for girls
My granddaughters love Fancy Nancy. I started sending them when they were 2 and 4 years old. They have almost every one. Now they are 7 and 9. They still look forward to receiving them. This has been the best find, since I don't see them often enough to know what they would like. The books have stories that teach manners and compassion. I pre order and the books go out as they are printed. Thanks Jane O'connor.

Vey good!
This is a Xmas present for my 5yo but I have read it myself. I think this is a great book as it is about teasing. Nancy is not good at sport and the "mean girl" in her class is not being nice about it so Nancy is very upset but before the race she speaks to the mean girl and is assertive and all ends well. I think it is a subject that many little girls have to cope with and there is definitely a "mean girl" in my dd's class and I think this book will really help.

great story
Nancy isn't fast at running and is paired up with the fastest runner in the class in the summer sports day, she has to deal with the other child's mean comments about how slow she is, first she fakes a sore ankle to try to get out of the race, but after a long chat with her dad she plucks up courage to face the mean girl and deal with the issue.Lovely story about lovely Nancy!

Fancy Nancy and the Delectable Cupcakes
My granddaughter finds this book delightful. She lives in Switzerland where English is taught as a second language so this book helps her with her reading
