(Apparently the remote fell out during shopping since the packaging looked like it was hit by a truck. Oddly, the batteries for the remote were still in the package! Lol) The front control panel is in a white plastic frame, so we were able to use white duct tape and superglue to make the repairs look ok from a moderate distance. We'll update the review after a summer of use, and we'll find a (hopefully reasonably priced) replacement remote.EDIT/UPDATE: Excellent support from both PerfectAire and Amazon, both of whom offered to send a free replacement remote, which we received from PerfectAire. Cooling is outstanding, and although we didn't intend to use the heat function, we did notice that setting it to "auto" kept the room temp at the correct level, adding heat or coming as needed. Expensive way to heat, but very cool nonetheless. Upgrading from 3-stars to 5-stars because of its power and good customer support. Excellent integration with Alexa thru separate purchase of Cielo Breeze.
