Set screws weren’t tight so guide rods were all wonky. Rubber foot pad screws loose. A bit harder to raise than others I’ve used. A little too much grease on threads. Overall, I can’t really complain. Once I set the guide rods and locked the set screws and tightened/cleaned everything else up the thing seems as solid as I’d need. It’s not designed for lifting a whole lot of weight, especially if that weight is not evenly distributed or moves. I have the fancy made for purpose front rest that adjusts every which of way and you can level. In the rear I was stacking shooting bags. But they settle down and I couldn't quickly return to target between shots. Using this platform with a tightly packed bag on top allows me to shoot more accuatley. The knob and finely threaded adjustment rod allows for precise adjustments when I need to change which target I am shooting. So I rarely have to change the front rest anymore since I can vary the height so easily from the rear. For those using it for other purposes, I highly recommend it. There is no lost play in the adjustment mechanism. No sharp edges or anything to make it seem a cheaply made product. I am using it only 3 inches high so stability is not a concern.
