Opening the box I was pleasantly surprised. Good solid little torches, well made, metal construction, look like they'll take a drop or two. bonus for me they only take one AA battery. The light is brighter than I would expect, although I'm not a lumens expert. But they provide more than enough light for my purposes. I don't use the beam setting much, usually the flood option. Just the right size for slipping in you pocket. One resides in my dog walking coat and you don't even notice it's there. I was a bit surprised to note on a couple of reviews the comments about having to cycle through the options to turn the torch on and off. If you press the button firmly each time it just turns on and off normally. If you want the other stuff, and I don't, you just have to press the button less firmly to cycle through them. Great little torches. Update June 2025. Quick update. Recently moved house and these torches are still going strong. Given them a lot of use lately creeping round the loft and dark cupboards finding stuff. Sadly our whippet, Winnie died a few months ago so I don't have the need for a dog walking torch.
