If so, how did it do?** A: It's all about how you apply it. Before I go on I will mention ahead of time that the method I'm about to detail involves using a steam wand which are relatively inexpensive, available here on Amazon and also locally at places like WalMart and other big box/hardware stores. What I recommend is that you first prepare a diluted mix of quick-n-brite (follow instructions on how to dilute for use in spray bottles) and then apply to all of the brink work you wish to clean. The diluted mix allows the quick-n-brite to penetrate deeper in to the pores. After you've sprayed down the bring with the diluted mix, then go back and pick one area about 1 foot square in size to focus on. Now take some full strength quick-n-bright jelly and apply it directly to the brick and use scrub brush to scrub that area for several minutes. Move on to the next area and so on until you've covered the entire brick surface that you want to clean. Allow the quick-n-brite solution and jelly to set overnight on the brick so the enzymes can do their work. Approximately 24 hours later fill sturdy spray bottle with hot water and spray down all the brick surface that you treated the day before to help loosen up the dried on quick-n-brite. Make sure you are getting the brick surface fairly wet. Wait 5 to 10 minutes for the water to soak in. While you are waiting turn on your steamer so the water can get up to temp. Put some old rolled up towels at the base of the brick work to catch the run off. Then you can begin steam cleaning one section of the brick at a time, starting from the top, working sideways across the top from right to left (or left to right) and once that row is clean move down and start cleaning a strip below it the same way. I got this method from a neighbor of mine that had soot stained brick fireplace front except his was much worst that mine. In his case he did the process a little different by steam cleaning the brick BEFORE he applied the quick-n-brite to get out as much soot as possible first. After that he followed the same instructions I listed above including steam cleaning again at the end and his brick was fully restored. Since my brick wasn't quite as soot stained as his I just skipped the pre-steaming process. Keep in mind that this steam wand has MANY uses around the house including sanitizing surfaces with no chemicals, melting grease build-up off that even quick-n-brite won't touch such on hood extractors, sanitizing toilet bowls and seats with no chemicals, cleaning road grime off your car wheels (save your quick-n-brite for other stuff!), take wrinkles out of your hanging clothes, eliminate odors in fabric, sanitize kids toys instantly with no chemicals, etc! The steamer will literally pay for itself. **Q: Did anyone use this on wood, I have kitchen cabinets that have not been cleaned for years, a lot of grease and grime on them, will this do the job?** A: Yes. QnB works to dissolve the grease off wood cabinet doors, kitchen grout and cooktop hood. I have used it on all those surfaces. I do recommend it for your kitchen cabinets. **Q: Has anyone tried cleaning large mirrors? I can't find anything that doesn't leave the streaks.** A: I just tried quick n brite on a mirror and I couldn't see any streaks after I wiped with a clean cloth. I have not used this product for mirrors before but there are instructions for cleaning mirrors. I usually use it for stains on clothes and grease stains on carpeting. It brightened up the spots that were not overly tarnished, but didn't do much for the parts that were black with tarnish. No odor, non toxic and a multitude of uses. I used an abrasive side of sponge to apply, let it sit for 20/30 min while I cleaned the rest of bathroom then rinsed off to a gleaming clear glass door!!
