A: This foam is not waterproof. There aren't foams that are waterproof but there are foams that are "Dryfast" - meaning the water will fall right through it.

A: That's rather a "how long is a piece of string" question.

This foam seems best for use in cushions.  I wouldn't use it in a toolbox with anything other than lightweight tools.

A: I don’t see why not.  Comes in specific lengths and thicknesses, but 5 inch pretty hard to cut and maneuver.

**Q: Would this foam be used to line a camera travel box?**
A: Yes this will work just fine. This foam is also widely used to help safely protect and transport a variety of items, from electronic and medical diagnostic equipment to delicate glassware to large industrial parts.
