This net is much lighter and in my opinion sinks as fast as my 7' 1/2" superpro. One complaint is on the first use (last night) several sections tore away from lead line. I have been throwing nets for 30 years and I know they tear if you are not cautious but in my opinion this tore way to easily. I am a little disappointed but repaired it with some braided line and hope it stays in tact. Maybe this was just a defect but I would pay attention if you get one.
