I consulted the seller and they told me that the design could not eliminate the gap between plate and top of the slide, but it could be minimized. All products now have a tighter dovetail design that minimizes the gap. They also told me that if I was worried about the firmness of the mount after the installation, I could use a rubber hammer to hit it casual. If there is any damage or looseness, they will send me a new one. Of course, I will not do this. I am afraid that will be damaged my slide, lol!!!
