I am 5'4" 250lbs, carry most of my weight in my tummy area. I bought the 3x black, fit great at the waist, could even go down a size to fit more snug. The only plain in the are problem is I had to get my mother in law to cut the pant legs at the bottom, with a good measuring eye and sowing scissors. They were crazy long. Luckily you can cut them and the way they are made there's no need to hem them. So they thought all that out, wasn't a mistake.
