I purchased these to wear for slightly cooler weather, but not cold weather. These are not made for a cold weather environment! I'm realizing that I'm not a big fan of the gel, it feels hard when it compresses. Though I also don't like thick foamy padding either. Thin and minimal, but there, is more what I prefer. Seems a challenge to find. Though Aero Tech Designs had a pair of cycle shorts that are perfect. Too bad they don't have the same pad in the tights. At any rate, I'm 6'0" and 205 lbs. The XL fit fine, a bit long in the torso, coming up to my navel perhaps. No big deal, though a Large probably would have been a better fit for me. I probably wouldn't wear these below about 45 degrees without another layer though.
