This one part coating is easy to use and repair: it does not require special or equipment or materials. It is ideal for high moisture and applications requiring easy repair and rework. The 419D coating protects electric circuits against moisture, dirt, dust, thermal shocks and scratches that could corrode, short circuit or otherwise damage the electric components. It insulates against high-voltage arcing, shorts and static discharges. As well, this coating provides a high dielectric withstand voltage that allows traces to be put closer together helping with miniaturization. Review: "Does what it says on the tin" - This conformal coating performs exactly as described.. It's a reasonably thick, varnish like fluid that is easily applied using the supplied brushes (2 of them in the pack). The brushes are thin enough to fit into those awkward places, with the bristles being just the right size to hold enough, but not too much fluid. They were easily cleaned after use with White Spirit, so can be reused. The fluid forms an even coat that dries quickly yet performs well in protecting electronic circuit boards. At 55ml the bottle may look small, but it goes a long way. I coated both side of my cars control unit/fuse box without making a noticeable drop in the level in the bottle. Review: Took a while to dry - But I'm sold. It's very good and so far, it's holding up. Will it stay usable if I buy this and don't use it until I need it for a long while off?** A: I have never had good luck with Acrylic coatings. it seems that once you open up the bottle a couple of times the air gets to it and it will thicken up in the bottle in a few months. If you want to have a long shelf life, I would use the Urethane conformal coatings instead. MG Chemicals sells them too. **Q: I just bought this and it didn't come with a brush cap. Just two brushes sperate in the pack? Anyone get the brush cap lately?** A: I didnt get the brush cap either. I had to take it from my old bottle. Two brushes is stupid imo. They will just dry up **Q: Does it effect led output when coated over led lens? I want to use on an led grow light to waterproof but I don't want to reduce the light output.** A: It is a clear coating, so no visible affects on LEDs, yet silicon coating is recommended for LEDs depending on the temperature. **Q: How is this different from 422B?** A: 422 is silicone in a spray can, 419 is acrylic in a bottle. The spray can is very convenient if you don't mind overspray, you are coating a large area, and want to coat everything in that area. The material in a bottle allows you to precisely coat areas you want to be coated without contaminating other areas. Acrylic tends to make a harder surface and be mechanically tough. Ink, glue, and sticky labels adhere better to acrylic. Silicone is more resistant to solvents like alcohol and gassoline.
