The break-away clasp seems to be a nice balance between staying on the cat and being able to come apart if it gets caught in something.My most disgruntled cat is able to get the collar off by scratching it until he catches it properly to open the break-away clasp, but he would be as determined to get any other collar off, I suspect, so it's no reflection on this particular one. Break-away collars are far safer for a cat anyway, so I will not switch to a solid collar.They adjust large enough to fit my massive 25-pound cat's burly neck. However, they do NOT adjust *quite* small enough to fit my extremely petite cat properly. Another quarter inch would have made it. If your full-grown cat is especially small, I recommend a different collar. Works great for the fat cats, though. :)edit: After a few months of use, however, the thread of the stitched paw design starts to unravel and pull out, due to the cat scratching its neck over time. This does not impair the functionality of the collar, but does make it look frayed and worn, if that matters to you. I am happy to trim the loose threads and continue using the collars.Four stars for function over form, but I would not buy it at the current over $7 price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice collars! *by N***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on February 8, 2013* We don't have our cats yet so i will do an update to this review once we have them and they have worn these awhile.Based on the product itself, here is what I can tell you.- The design is very cute, but it is just loose thread, so I imagine after awhile that little claws will rip the stitching of the designs.- The bell is NOT the same color as the collar, which I expected from the picture, but its close enough and doesn't bother me.- The clasp is firm, but not too much so. We will see how the cats do with removing them on their own, but the breakaway is solid, I am pleased with it.The one thing I do wish it had would be a little D ring to hang their tags on, at least the tags I got have their own little ring on them to attach to the collar, but the rings are just a teeny bit too small, so the tag looks like it gets "hung up" stuck behind the width of the collar. Not a big issue, just a wish I would have for this collar. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Only collar I'll use *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on January 21, 2013* I ordered this for my two female cats, one is 3 and one is 2 years old. The 3 year old is mainly outside and the 2 year old is 100% inside as she only has 3 legs. The outside cat loves it and it's still on and working great. For some reason the inside cat seems to be able to take it off w/o the front clasps coming apart. I can't quite figure out how she's doing it, I've tightened it several times but she still gets it off I should have named her Houdini.** Update **I've had these since Jan 3rd 2013 and it lasted almost 2 and half months on my outdoor cat. She lost it, no idea where it went but glad it comes off so she doesn't get hurt. Replaced it with the same kind, so far she's kept it on for 3 weeks. Still can't keep one on my indoor cat, she always finds a way out of them. :(***update 2-11-21***I have 3 cats now. After several years of trying my indoor 3 legged cat now keeps her collar on and is the only one who will tolerate a name tag. The oldest cat, Mollie, doesn't like me to take her collar off. If I do she'll find it and drop it on the table nearest me. Now the only reason I have to buy new collars are when they get old. My youngest cat, Tigger (boy), still removes his from time to time. After a week or so I'll find out and put it back on.
