The rings are very well made and would take considerable force being pulled on them . They are powder coated black which adds to their longevity. The only problem i had with them was the size of the hole to fix the plate holding the ring .its not the manufacturers problem, had I paid more attention I would have realised the holes were meant for trailer fixings. It was to big a hole for screw heads to hold the plate. It was easily overcome by putting a washer over the hole big enough not to go through with the hole being small enough to hold the screw head. Once that was done it was simple to fix them to the deck. A good strong fixing for the straps holding the tarp.Very happy they are exactly what I needed.
