**Q: what are the dimentions?**
A: Whole rack:  H- 33 1/2", W- 9 3/4", D- 9 7/8"Shelves:  H- 4 7/8", W- 7", D-8"Note that the shelves are not tall enough for DVDs, only CDs.  With adjustable shelves, one can remove a couple and store a few DVDs.

**Q: How many CDs does this self hold? Thanks.**
A: I don't know for sure, but this is my estimate based upon measuring:CDs:  There are 5 shelves, each holding about 16 CDs, for approximately 80 CDs.DVDs:  There isn't enough space to stack DVDs vertically.  One must either remove a couple of shelves (the middle and bottom shelves are fixed for stability; others are removable) or stack things horizontally.  I estimate that one can store approximately 28 DVDs in a combination of 2 stacked vertically and 1 horizontally (middle fixed shelf).

I purchased this for a lady who does not have a computer. She is older and was looking for a dvd holder. She is well satisfied with it and it looks nice in her home. (My opinion is that it is a bit smaller than I had anticipated even after carefully noting the dimensions. But it is very attractive.)
