I sew for a local designer and I am now using this machine for the primary stitching. Cannot beat the price! I did a sampler of all of the stitches and it really does a super sweet job! **Q: Does anybody know if this a low shank machine?? Not really sure what that means but I know it has everything to do with the presser feet.** A: This machine (like almost all sewing machines made after the 1980s) uses snap-on feet which means you do not have to think about shank size because there is no shank on these feet. (The shank used to be the metal bit on the foot which attached onto the machine, usually needing to be screwed on. If you think of the flat part as the 'foot', then the shank was like an 'ankle'. Feet like these are only seen in much older machines (or in certain specialty machines and rarer models). **Q: need more detail on what it includes to do comparison..It says 21 feet but doesn't list them . a picture shows extended table is that included, etc** A: An extension to the sewing area is included. Its 15" long X 9" wide. This gives you 9 1/2" of extra support after assembly to the machine. You can slide this for fast or slow.
