Review: Solution plugged the sprayer and left a sticky surface on our deck. - I purchased this product for the second year for our cedar deck. We were very pleased with the first year application and results. This year's product had some small clots in the solution that constantly stopped up the sprayer. After application the deck has a sticky surface to it several weeks after application and drying. I have written the manufacturer twice and not received any response. I will not use or recommend this product.

**Q: Can i apply over paint? can i apply paint over this? i'm doing both in adjacent areas and am concerned about overspray of each.**
A: Applying ToughTimber over paint is not recommended. 
It can be painted over, however, you should wait 7 days until the ToughTimber is fully dried.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to apply. Absorbs quickly.

I used two gallons of Tough Timber on my 710 square foot pressure-treated deck. I diluted it at a ratio of 2.5:1 and applied it with a garden pump sprayer. It went on quickly and dried within 4 hours at an air temperature of 93 deg F to a clear finish with a very slight satin sheen and no color change. I first prepped the deck by pressure washing it (allowing 4 days to dry thoroughly) and then lightly sanding it with 80 grit sandpaper. I am pleased with the result and look forward to several years of protection from the elements!
