I have used this new one in my living room as I have a family member who smokes when they visit. It keeps the air smoke free when used for that purpose and stops soft furniture from smelling of smoke and the air is clear. Otherwise, I mostly use this in my bedroom. It has an option for a light, night light or no light. It is practically silent, if it does make any noise it isn't noticeable. I re-ordered two more 2 days ago (which arrived in less than 24 hours); these two are for different friends who asked if I could get one for each of them. I am really happy with this product. The only issue is that it needs to be plugged into a phone/USB charger but to be honest at the price I can't complain about that. It looks quite nice and is unobtrusive.
