One is for zero, one is to delete….- (Update, some customers have reported that there is backup battery inside. Maybe my unit did not have it, it would be hard for me to miss something like this.) There is no backup battery inside the unit. Other cheaper units that I have seen have backup battery. So if someone cut the power, this unit becomes useless. (Unless you buy a UPS and plug it into that)- The siren is basically a wired speaker that plugs into the main unit. There is sticky tape on the back of it. They expect you to stick it onto your wall!?!? It’s so ugly, just look wrong having that sticking out next to the main unit. I rather have remote sirens to install anywhere I want.- It’s key feature, which is to use the SIM card for text alerts is a great idea for people in China, where prepaid SIM cards are not charged monthly like in the US. In China, you can pick up a prepaid SIM card anywhere and use it till the prepaid amount is depleted, which is dirt cheap, considering this device won’t be making that many calls/text. In the US you would be paying $30 bucks a month to keep a SIM card active.If the unit had battery and remote sirens, I might have kept it. Back to Amazon it goes. Hope this review will save you folks some time deciding. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The gamble payed off *by B***B on Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2014* 11/12/14 To start off, I took a risk as these units did not have any ratings to base a decisions on. So far, so good. Unit was received well packaged, took about two weeks, but given the distance that was to be expected. All units are working good and wireless signals strong including those upstairs. The base unit did not have Kerui on it below the screen so not sure if it is Kerui or a generic unit so was a bit disappointed with that. However, the unit is working. Directions are okay, but not as detailed as I would like so you'll have to play with the setup. For instance the units you want to stay OFF when armed in "STAY" are the ones you assign to the "STAY" zones, not vice-versa as I expected. I've only made one call through the unit to make sure it worked and it did. Wanted to make sure I have all the zones correct and stable before I set up the mobile alerts. Will update later with information on the SMS alerts and the mobile app. I'm reserving the final star until I've had a chance to thoroughly test that out.12/16/14 - okay I've gone ahead and given the unit 5 stars. Once I got my areas programmed correctly the system works well. The remotes work great and make arming and disarming the system easy, all four in the family got one. The SMS messaging also works really well. I've had a few come to me from times the kids forgot about the new alarms to friends forgetting to call us before they dropped something off at the house. But those were great tests in my book. The App is easy to use and can be used for programming functions as well. All in all I'm very pleased. If you're looking for the SIM card we used AlarmSim and got it fast and works great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very happy with this *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2015* The install instructions were confusing, but logic and reason helped me quickly through them.The most difficult installation step was installing the SIM card. There wasn't a picture or clear instructions of this step. I installed the SIM backward at first, until I realized that the contacts on the card weren't touching the alarm board.
