Review: A huge cost savings! - Dryer would sometimes heat, sometimes not and wasn't sure what could be causing it so ordered this kit with everything that could be wrong. Arrived quickly, nicely packaged. Immediately ran OHM rest on everything to make sure the readings were what they were supposed to be and that there were not breaks in the heating coils of the heating unit. Installation is pretty simple, hardest thing is following the typical poorly written direction so I found the online video of how to replace everything and followed that instead. Still not sure what was wrong because the removed heating coiled seemed intact, resistance levels were identical to the new unit so I suspect it was more the t-stat or limit switch which were both included in the new kit. Dryer works perfectly once again. I'm somewhat skeptical about longevity based upon many of the poor reviews on here as to durability. I guess the good news is that I now know that this fixed whatever the problem was for thirty dollars. If it fails, I'll then spend four times that amount to get the OEM versions which is still a lot less than a new dryer.
