Review: Product works advertised... Great Satin Finish. - I applied this product on 120 year old interior (red) brick walls. All brick and mortar surfaces were washed with water and allowed to dry completely prior to application. Some walls were previously skim coated with plaster and painted. These walls had to be power sanded with 40 grit and then acid washed. I used a 3 inch brush to liberally apply the product to the brick and mortar. Then I allowed it to soak in for about 5 minutes before brushing out any runs. Some bricks soaked up the sealer very quickly and required an immediate second coat. There's no rushing this process, but it has been worth the effort to me.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does the satin provide any color enhancement or would I need an additional product for that?**
A: I have only used it on brick and the satin does not change the color so you need an enhancer.  I would think another product might be better as some enhancers are sealers as as well.

**Q: What can I use to seal painted brick?**
A: You should see if you can repaint with elastomeric paint. It is plastic, but allows the bricks to breath. It forms a hard shell.

**Q: It says it is penetrating water-based sealer, but yet it is a polymer.  Can you reseal over the top of this product after time has gone by?**
A: yes, as long as you give the surface a good deep cleaning.

**Q: I don't want a sheen on the pavers & need to enhance them. Can I use the Satin sealer first and then come back with a second coat of the flat sealer?**
A: If you do not want a sheen, use LastiSeal Flat. Do not apply more LastiSeal to a surface that has already been sealed with LastiSeal, Flat or Satin.
