I used it to fill two new footstool covers and the mess was minimal compared to the last time I had to this, transferring from one cover to another. My footstools are 17-18" cubes and the 100L fill bag was more than enough to fill them both. I ended up with extra, but I'm not sure the next size down filler bag would have been enough. I will say the zipper came without a pull, making impossible for me to operate with my bare hands, but I fed a paperclip through it to pull it open and closed and it worked fine. I did still lose some of the fill onto the floor during the filling process, but nothing like before. I was able to "transfer" the fill from the main part of the bag into the funnel area, then block it off with my hands from falling back into the main part of the bag with sort of a choke-hold, then let that part fall into what I was filling, and then I repeated this process til I had what I needed. There was a good amount in the one I ordered, it filled my daughter flat bean bag and my foot rest. I’d definitely recommend this brand to refill or newly fill an object like that.
