**Q: Can I make tiny strings just like Sri Lankan string hoppers?**
A: Yes we can make different size. We are using this to make Idiyappam.

**Q: Is this dishwasher safe?**
A: I haven’t put mine in the dishwasher.  I bought the brass one and not the stainless steel.  Hand washing in warm soapy water worked well for me.

**Q: Can I make Sri Lankan string hoppers with this?**
A: You absolutely can.  After you have kneaded the dough, you can add it to this kitchen tool and using the plates with the medium holes, you can make the string hoppers to steam.

**Q: Does it make murukku?**
A: Yes

Very flimsy and the casts have holes that are not properly cut so what ever you squeeze out of them is not going to be in the shape you expect them to be. We tried the ribbon cast and the ribbon came ripped in multiple places :) We still managed to make use of it.
