I tried these and was soo satisfied with this product. This is my fifth child and I had not used muslin burp cloths before. They are much softer and more cuddly than the terrycloth ones I had used previously.I introduced them to my baby at about 4 months and he was super excited the first time he touched them. He grabbed the one off my should and promptly buried his face in it like it was his long lost friend. He loves to "steal" these for cuddling or to chew on. These could definitely be used as an alternative to one of those small blanket square lovies you see out there.On a more practical note, they have been very gentle on my son's skin. He has moderate eczema and these don't seem to bother him. They absorb spit and messes well and have a wavy texture so the spits don't roll off your shoulder. They also wash up well, and being white you could bleach if needed. I have been washing these frequently for over a month now and the quality of the stitching is holding up fine.
