Piped stitching is yet a darker Army green making for a matching contrast. It is zippered and also has buttons to snap on. I am a large but the jacket runs a size smaller so order a size up. The faux fur is decent and the sleeves prevents the cold from getting up in your arms because of its baseball or bomber jacket style sleeves. It is faux-fur lined but not entirely...just sleeves and shoulders down to almost the middle of my back. You definitely won't need to wear a scarf since the collars snaps all the way up to the chin. The hoodie, however, is wide, and drops down over my eyes but you can work with it...the hoodie will definitely keep the fierce wind from blowing on your face. I bought a xl and it fits perfectly...the only thing I didnt like about this coat was connecting that gosh darn fur piece for the hood.... it was so difficult to button it onto the hood.
