I bought this as I'm used to acupuncture and wondered if it might help. I usually get comfy in bed then put the mat behind me and lay carefully back and try to relax onto it. If you need to make slight position adjustments do it very slowly. Start with a t shirt or pj's on and after a few times move to no clothes. I find it really helps with pain and helps me sleep. I don't use it every night but probably a couple of times a week. The nextday I always feel more relaxed in myself and usually the pain has disappeared. For the price it's very effective, for me anyway. I'd already had some treatment via the osteopaths but I was struggling with relieving pain whilst at home. I saw a similar product to this on Instagram and thought I'd look into it. It arrived within the week, during a lockdown no less. I'll admit I was surprised at how small it was but I'm 5"2 and I'm able to comfortably fit the separate pillow under my neck whilst lying on the mat. I also got my family members to try it, who are all taller, and they can use it no issue. As for the 'pain factor' I honestly don't notice the little flower-shaped spikes and the pillow helps to elongate my spine. I've found that it stretches me out and cracks my lower back, relieving tension, just by lying flat.
