I installed myself and transferred the data. Its easy. Take out the 4 screws to the HD compartment, remove old drive, insert new HD put screws back. That’s it. You will need all drivers and install windows. This a good time to upgrade your windows operating system to 10. Run windows updates and you good. I’m not sure it’s worth 100 bucks. I've noticed that this hard drive seems to be a bit louder than my old one. The hard drive is the same size, 2.5" as my old one, and I have had no compatibility issues thus far. Nonetheless, I noticed that the hard drive brand itself is Toshiba, but as it is compatible, I am not too concerned. After installing Windows 10, I have a total of 930 GB for actual storage, which is relatively close to the 1TB amount, so I am impressed and happy with the product.NOTE/SUGGESTION: To all my fellow Windows PC users, after you have replaced the hard drive and installed Windows, I highly recommend running "Defragment and Optimize Drives" on your Windows.
